My name is Kirsten. I'm from Dublin, Ireland. I live in England currently while I do my animation/illustration degree.

I am a child of the forest. A blue eyed old soul. A nature-worshipper. An artist. A girlfriend. A history fanatic. A devoted reader of National Geographic. A dreamer.

I also love vikings.

It is so easy to dismiss the existence of mythical creatures when you live surrounded by tall walls and other humans. You become so sure of everything around you with its defined lines and strict rules that people become disconnected with their senses not having to think or question the ideas in front of them. But I dare you, go for a walk in a remote forest alone away from technology or ‘civilisation’ and come back and tell me truthfully whether you actually felt completely alone on that walk. I bet you more often than not you would feel scared or feel like you are intruding on something. I mean if other sentient creatures definitely don’t exist on earth why do you feel scared?
After all the myths have to start somewhere.

Someone asked me how I’m getting on lately,

And I stopped and thought for a moment,

I think that this is the happiest I have ever been, maybe ever.

I genuinely have nothing serious to complain or worry about.

I smile nearly everyday.

I am just so happy right now! This feeling is wonderful! I am elated!!
